Q: Can I get a same day sick visit appointment?
A: Absolutely, same day appointments are always available. We understand that children can become ill quickly and unexpectedly, we offer same day sick visit appointments. Please call the office for a same-day appointment and we will be happy to accommodate.
Q: What is the medication refill policy?
A: Please call the office 4-5 days prior to running out of medications. Patients must have had a well check in the past 12 months in order for refills to be called in without being seen for an appointment. For ADHD, the child must be seen at least every 3 months if stable. Please call the office 48 hours prior to running out of medication. Asthma patients need to be seen every 3 months to be eligible for prescription refills.
Q: What is the clinic antibiotics policy?
A: We try hard not to over-prescribe antibiotics unless it is needed. We also do not treat viral illnesses with antibiotics. There are certain side effects of unnecessary antibiotics use. Also, if you are concerned that your child is ill and needs antibiotics, we strongly urge you to make an appointment as we do not routinely call in antibiotics over the phone.
Q: What are the benefits of patient portal?
A: You can send and receive secure messages, view clinical summaries or educational material, view your child's immunization records, request prescription refills, receive test results securely, check your upcoming appointment status.

FAQs
Q: What insurances do you accept?
A: We accept many of the major insurances and also adding new insurances to our panel. Please call our office to ask about the acceptance of any specific insurance plan you may have.
Q: What documents do I need to bring for appointments?
A: Please bring your child's current and valid insurance card (primary & secondary, if applicable) along with parent or guardian's valid Government issued ID card. Please make sure you provide us with updated information any time there is a change to the insurance. For new patients, a recent immunization record is also needed. New patients should plan to arrive 30 min prior to scheduled appointment.
Q: My appointment was cancelled at the last moment, why?
A: We verify insurance information at the time of appointment scheduling and a day prior to actual appointment. Failure to provide accurate insurance information may result in appointment being cancelled if active coverage can not be verified prior to your appointment.
Q: What is my financial responsibility?
A: Co-payments are expected at the time of provision of services. It is the parent's/guardian's responsibility to understand what services are/are not covered under your plan (i.e. mental health, obesity). Parents will be responsible for payments if your policy does not cover certain services. If you are not certain about coverage, you may elect to decline these services.
We will file claims to the insurance plan(s) you have provided. If a secondary insurance is not provided at the time of visit, you will be responsible for the fees not covered by primary insurance. We also request a Credit Card on File (CCOF) which is stored on a secure server.
Q: What if I am running late for an appointment?
A: If you think you can not make it on time, we strongly urge you to call and notify the office promptly. We will try to accommodate you IF the time allows. If you are more than 15 minutes late, you may be asked to re-schedule the appointment. This allows us to give your child proper attention without rushing through the appointment and also minimize wait times for other patients.
Q: What is the clinic policy for missed appointments?
A: If you miss a scheduled appointment without calling to cancel, or you cancel with less than 24 hour notice, it will be marked as "no show". You may be required to pay a 'no show fee' up to $25 per occurrence per patient. You will be sent a letter after 2nd no show appointment. Three missed appointments will result in termination from the practice.
Q: What is the clinic vaccine policy?
A: We follow the recommended CDC vaccine schedule which is endorsed by AAP. There have been numerous studies showing the vaccines are safe and effective. If the patients refuse to follow the routine vaccine schedules, they will be asked to switch care to another practice. If your child is delayed on vaccines or if you have any questions/concerns about the vaccines, we strongly encourage you to discuss it with us. If you missed any vaccines, we encourage to catch-up on the next visit. Thank you for protecting our community.
Q: Are there any charges for form/paperwork completion?
A: No, there is no fee for completion of sports physical form if you bring it at the time of your child's appointment. Any other forms/paperwork requiring completion may incur charges depending on nature of paperwork. Please allow 48 hours for the paperwork to be completed.
